Reader preferences
The site can store your selected reading theme in local browser storage. Story pages can also store the address of the last episode opened so you can return to it from the same browser. These values stay on the device and are not advertising identifiers.
Optional consent preferences
If optional analytics or advertising controls are activated later, the site can store the choices under a consent-preferences setting. The current site configuration does not activate the consent platform, Google Analytics, Amazon affiliate tracking, or third-party advertising placements.
Administration
The protected editorial administration area uses a secure session cookie after an authorised editor signs in. This cookie is not used for ordinary readers or advertising.
First-party promotion counts
Clearly labelled Her Heart Edit promotions use aggregate first-party counters without placing a visitor cookie. The counters do not store raw IP addresses or full browser identification strings.
